Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court in Abuja has remanded the immediate past Minister of Interior,
Abba Moro in Prison custody over his alleged complicity in a
N676million job scam.
Moro was remanded at Kuje prison after he pleaded not guilty to
an 11-count criminal charge that was preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Equally remanded in prison custody was a Deputy Director in the
ministry, Mr. F. O Alayebami.
However, Justice Chikere granted
administrative bail to the 2nd defendant, Mrs. Anastasia Daniel-
Nwobia, who was a former Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Interior
when the alleged fraud was committed.
Mrs. Daniel-Nwobia who is nursing a
baby, through her lawyer, Chief Chris
Uche, SAN, persuaded the court
to allow her to go home to take care
of her baby.
Meantime, Justice Chikere has adjourned the case till next week
Wednesday to consider whether or not the former Minister and his alleged accomplice should be released on bail pending their trial.
EFCC earlier told the court that one of the accused persons, Mahmood Ahmadu, who was a Director at Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd, a firm that was allegedly used to perpetuate the botched March 15, 2014 Immigration recruitment exercise that killed no
fewer than 20 job seekers across the country, is currently at
large. The charge against the accused persons borders on obtaining by
false pretence, procurement fraud and money laundering. Specifically, EFCC alleged that the defendants defrauded 676,675 Nigerian applicants of N676,675,000 (Six Hundred and Seventy
Six Million, Six Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand Naira).
Each of the 676,675 applicants were charged N1,000 each for
participating in the ill-fated Immigration recruitment exercise.
Besides, the defendants were alleged to have flouted the Public
Procurement Act, No. 65 of 2007 in the award of the contract for the organisation of the recruitment test to Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd.
The anti-graft agency said its investigations revealed that the firm which it said was not validly registered to operate in Nigeria, never bided for the contract. It said the contract was awarded through selective tendering
procedure by invitation of 4 (Four) firms without seeking the approval of the Bureau for Public Procurement, contrary to sections 40, 42 and 43 of the Public Procurement Act, No. 65 of
2007 and punishable under section 58 of the same act.

Picture the image of a bride who still crushes, and still feels single.
What prompted the case of having a pregnant bride, good, bad, ugly?
Hadizat This story was told by Vanessa E. Chambers December 2015
It is about O’Neal, 48yrs. In his own words:
LESSON: – would abortion have made him feel less guilt ? -In this story abortion was not an option and this makes it more regretful. -While the lady is bearing her curse, -O’Neal’s action hunts him for the rest of his life. -Unless you are single, divorced, or widow, you have no right to crush on another lady or guy
This is an ugly mistake in lifewhich results into having a Pregnant bride. Beresponsible!
According to Todd VanDerWerff: Of the three nominees with a realistic
shot at winning — The Big Short , The Revenant , and this —
Spotlight was my preference (though I liked Mad Max and Brooklyn better of all nominees)
At 88 Oscar Awards.
It is also felt the most obviously Oscar-y of the three, which may cause some disappointment among those who
would love the Academy to get a little edgier (something
that will never, ever happen).
Look a little deeper, though, and I don’t think Spotlight is
as much Oscar bait as some have written it off for being.
For one thing, its emotional impact is more suggested than depicted.
One of the film’s more divisive scenes among critics is when Mark Ruffalo’s Mike Rezendes has a big breakdown
about how the story is still so far away from being published. Many people have complained that it feels like
an Oscar clip, in a movie that had so far steadfastly avoided such things. The scene is there because some version of it really happened, and I think it works within the film overall.
But the film is so non-showy that this showiness stands out like a sore thumb—and the Oscars usually don’tlike nonshowy.
What makes a lady wanna get married even with a baby bump in that lovely weddng gown? What inspired her decision?
This is a true story told
by Jo Rhodes for mail online, july 2015.
LESSON: He abandoned her despite how long it took her to conceive Lauraine Dineen has a for giving heart and her Patience paid off at last. So, that you got pregnant before the wedding and you are worried about how to take care of the baby, or you are shy of criticism, or you were never in love with the guy/lady, you were dumped with pregnancy like Laura, or you were a victim of rape, or other circumstances shouldn’t be a reason for abortion, i know its not easy but that’s ok. A 7-year-old Israeli boy is being hailed after finding a piece of history during a day trip to an archeological site.
Ori Greenhut was climbing a mound at Tel Rehov with friends when
he came across a covered figurine, said the Israel Antiquities
Authority. The boy brushed off the dirt to reveal an image of a
woman in clay.
According to authorities, the figurine is some 3,400 years old.
“Ori returned home with the impressive figurine and the excitement was great. We explained to him this is an ancient artifact and that archaeological finds belong to the state,” said Moriya Greenhut,
The family gave the figurine to the Antiquities Authority, which said
the image of the woman was made by pressing soft clay into a
mold. The small statue may represent a real woman, or it may depict the fertility goddess Astarte, according to Amihai Mazar, a professor and expedition director of the excavations at Tel Rehov.
The figurine is typical of the Canaanite culture, Mazar said.

Pat Utomi, the Nigerian Proff. Of Economy and management expert in an interview with Channels says Nigeria have experienced a drop of the Nigerian currency 7times.
He points that In 1982 Nigeria did not get enough supply of fuel.Supply clashed. Then it was a block currency. Nigeria wasn’t selling and C.B.N. could not pay due credits to foriegn markets and consequently, couldn’t buy imported products.
“We need to work on the fundamentals of the economy rather than worry so much about Naira value”
He adds that so many areas of the production sector are yet to be developed. For instance, the movie and music industry can be boosted.
Again, Incentives can also determine the choices to look at.
“We pay too much money on school fees. It now seem like a prestige thing, some poeple send their kids for primary education in foreign countries for show off. That is waste. What we need to do is look at how we incentivice production.”
He told Channels News that government should Create investment and cut down foreign investment just like it was implimented in India. According to Pat, Indai was techinical.
He also explains that Cooperate strategy stakeholders are not clear about where the Nigeria economy is going so they cannot make a good choice about what incentives and policies should be implemented.
